Is Charles Hermes just a crank or is he dangerous?  In an article from the Arlington Voice they write: 

Charles Hermes....was found to have posted some questionable comments ... online has allegedly harassed Republican students on-campus. The UTA student added that Hermes has previously been “very respectful,” but that he recently has become more aggressive. 

To Students Hermes is an aggressive agitator. [Hermes] would rile up students to chant ‘fascists’ and ‘neo-Nazis’ at us,” the student said. “I think the line should be drawn at calling people names... 

Hermes posted about UTA’s YAF in February, calling them a group of “white boys” who “whine” about discrimination, and inviting his followers to their meeting. 

If you know what your professor’s political leanings are, then you should be able to face them. But I think his approach transcends a certain aspect when he’s calling people names.”

“Hermes is out there protesting (at UTA Students), shouting ‘no fascists’ across at us,” the student said. “I don’t know where the line is drawn for professors anymore.”
